Yuri Danilov, PhD, currently is the Leading Scientist in Pavlov Institute of Physiology, RAS, Sankt Petersburg, Russia. He is a former Senior Scientist and Neuroscience Director in Tactile Communication and Neuromodulation Laboratory (TCNL), Biomedical Engineering Department, UW-Madison, USA. Dr. Danilov received an MS degree in Biophysics, in 1978, from St. Petersburg University in Russia and a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, in 1984, from the Pavlov Institute of Physiology. He is a system Neuroscientist with experience in research on the special senses, including vision, taste, hearing and balance. Dr. Danilov is the lead discoverer and developer of the Translingual Neurostimulation technology.

Horacio Kaufmann is Professor of Neurology, Medicine and Pediatrics and holds the Axelrod Chair for Neurological Research at New York University School of Medicine where he also heads the division of Autonomic Disorders and the Dysautonomia Center at NYU Langone Health. Dr. Kaufmann received his medical degree from the National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He trained in Internal Medicine and completed Neurology residency and fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Ivan V. Maksimovich, MD, PhD, professor, who at the present time is an Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences, is a member of the Russian Association of Cardiovascular Surgeons, the Russian Scientific Society of Specialists in Endovascular Diagnosis and Treatment, the All-Russian Scientific Society of Interventional Radiologists and Endovascular Surgeons, the Alzheimer's Association International Society for Advance Alzheimer's Research and Treatment (ISTAART), European Society of Cardiology (ESC), European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), World Stroke Organization (WSO), European Stroke Organization (ESO) and European Psychiatric Association (EPA). Ivan V. Maksimovich graduated from the 1st Moscow Medical Institute named after I.M. Sechenov (Moscow, Russia) in 1979 specializing in cardiovascular surgery. After the graduation he worked in leading research institutes and clinics of the country. Since 1993, Dr. Maksimovich Is the Head of the Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases named after Most Holy John Tobolsky Moscow, Russia. In 2004, Dr. Maksimovich defended his PhD thesis for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the subject: "Transluminal Laser Angioplasty in the Treatment of Ischemic Brain Leasons". He is the author of more than 250 scientific papers devoted to transcatheter treatment of vascular diseases.

Amin Hajitou completed his PhD at The University of Liege, Belgium, where he acquired extensive experience in delivery technologies for therapeutic nucleic acids. Then he did his postdoctoral training in the world leading MD-Anderson Cancer Center in Texas-USA, where he gained expertise in bacteriophage (phage)-guided gene delivery and phage display technologies in vitro and in vivo. Importantly, he designed a novel hybrid phage vector for targeted nucleic acid transfer to cancer. The hybrid phage, published in Cell 2006, showed first success of systemic gene targeting to cancer in vivo. His team and independent groups reported efficacy of intravenous cancer gene therapy in rodents and pet dogs with naturally occurring cancers. In 2008, Hajitou established his research team, as a Lecturer, at Imperial College, then became Senior Lecturer in 2013 and Reader in 2016. His research team has become a leading authority in phage-guided delivery systems to cancer including brain tumours. His leadership in the field has resulted in various awards for his research, and a Royal Decoration by his Majesty the King of Morocco, in 2015.

He was the first Autoimmune Committee Chairperson for the International Bone Marrow Transplant Registry (IBMTR) and was the principal investigator of a National Institute of Health (NIH) $10,000,000.00 multi-center contract to develop stem cell clinical trials for autoimmune diseases. Professor Burt performed America’s first hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) for multiple sclerosis (MS), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Crohn’s disease (CD), stiff person syndrome (SPS), and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) and published the world’s first randomized clinical stem cell transplantation trials for systemic sclerosis and multiple sclerosis. Recently, he is a Chief of First Clinic of Neurology, member of Advisory Council (Neurology division) at University Multiprofi le Hospital for Active Treatment “Sveta Marina", Varna. He is an expert in MS, PD, AD, epilepsy, and chronic pain at National Health Insurance Fund and Republican Consultant of Ministry of Health for North-East region of Bulgaria. He is Head of Department of Neurologic Diseases and Neurosciences at Varna Medical University. His Postgraduate education includes specialization in neuro-oncology, clinical immunology, otoneurology, clinical epileptology, and movement disorders. He has over 150 scientifi c publications and authorship in eight medical text-books and monographs. He is a Member of Bulgarian Society of Neurology (Board of Managers; Chairman of regional branch at Varna district), Bulgarian Association of Neuro-oncology (Vice-president), International Medical Association Bulgaria, Balkan Medical Union (Vice-president of Bulgarian branch), and EAN (scientifi c panels of neuroepidemiology and neuro-oncology). He specialized in movement disorders in the University of Kansas in the United States and in headache at the University of Pavia, Italy. Presently he is a Professor in neurology, National consultant of Ministry of Health in Neurology and consultant to the NHIF (National Health Insurance Fond), Corresponding Member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Board member and treasurer of the European Society of headache (EHS), Representative of Bulgaria on the board of the World Federation of Neurology (WFN), a member of the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS) and the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP - USA). Babak Kateb is a neuroscientist with more than 20 years of research experience. Pant received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Agra University, Agra, India. His postdoctoral studies were conducted on the mechanisms of electron and ion transport in model membrane systems at the Department of Biophysics at Michigan State University. He joined the Laboratory of Neurobiology in the NIMH as a senior staff fellow in 1974 with Dr. Ichiji Tasaki where he studied the function of the axonal cytoskeleton in the squid giant axon. In 1979 he moved to the NIAAA extending his studies on the neuronal cytoskeleton and the effects of alcohol on its regulation. Dr. Pant moved to the NINDS, Laboratory of Neurochemistry in 1987 where he is presently chief of the section on Cytoskeleton Regulation. His laboratory is studying the mechanisms of topographic regulation of neuronal cytoskeleton proteins by post-translational modification, including the role of kinase cascades in normal brain and during neurodegeneration.

Alberto E. Musto, M.D. Ph.D. FAES, is a physician-scientist and medical educator of the Department of Pathology and Anatomy and Department of Neurolgoy of the Eastern Virginia Medical School, Virginia, USA. Dr. Musto’s scientific goal is to identify a potential biomarker and preventive therapies for epilepsy. Currently, his research is focusing in the cellular and molecular mechanisms of inmune-inflammatory process that contribute to the development of aberrant neuronal networks after brain injuries. He has been studied the role of pro-inflammatory mediators in experimental models of epilepsy using in vivo recordings of neural activities from chronically implanted microelectrodes in the brain and its correlations with neural damage, microglia cells and dendritic spines modifications using histological and biochemical approaches. He has been involved actively in medical education and neuroscience research in Universidad de Buenos Aires, and Universidad Austral, Argentina and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, USA supported by CONICET, Argentina and NIH, USA. As postdoc/research associate/visiting professor/full professor he run his research at the University of Bucharest, International Centre for Theoretical Physics (Italy), Ecole Polytechnique (France), Institut Henri Poincare (France), KU Leuven (Belgium). Data mining and exploratory analysis of neuroimaging time series were addressed during two Fulbright Grants in Neuroscience (Yale University and University of New Mexico). His research in fused biomedical imaging modalities was carried out at the Johns Hopkins University, National Institutes of Health, and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, MD, USA. Prof. R. Mutihac is member of the ISMRM, ESMRMB, OHBM, Romanian US Alumni Association, and fellow of Signal Processing and Neural Networks Society IEEE, as well as referee for several journals of the Institute of Physics (London, UK), Neural Networks (Elsevier), IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, and evaluator/expert for the ISMRM, OHBM, ARACIS, CNCSIS, UEFISCDI, The Romanian – U.S. Fulbright Commission. and the European Commission (FP7, H2020). He published over 100 scientific papers, 12 monographs, and contributed with chapters in other 10 text books. He contributed to more than 150 scientific meetings with posters and oral presentations, seminars, invited and plenary lectures, as well as acting as organizer, chairman, and keynote speaker

Birendra Kumar Bista is one of the first neurologists of Nepal. He has been pioneering in field of neuroscience in Nepal and established the first neuroscience center of eastern Nepal. Through years the work of this neuroscience center has been recognized home and abroad. He shows keen interest in medical management and providing state of art services to this impoverished region of Nepal. Recently he added the first stroke center of Nepal. He firmly believes in continuous updated education and its implementation in hospital practices.
