Biography

Raymond Sekula, Jr., MD, joined the Department of Neurological Surgery on March 1, 2013 as an associate professor and director of the department’s Cranial Nerve Disorders program. Dr. Sekula is known internationally and nationally for his development of microvascular techniques, which provide patients with improved outcomes, reduced complications, and easier recoveries. He has been recognized with numerous honors, including The American Association of Neurological Surgeon’s Young Investigator Award, The Trigeminal Neuralgia Association Fellowship Award, and Pittsburgh Magazine’s “40 Under 40” and “Best Doctor’s” Award.

Trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm; skull base tumors, minimally invasive brain surgery.
